Scores of readers sent in submissions for our latest cartoon caption contest. Below are three we deemed worthy of being finalists.

Even if you didn't make the finalist list, you and other readers will have a chance to determine the winner. Vote for your favorite cartoon caption by noon Friday through the poll at right. (Sorry, poll is now closed.)

The winner, which will be based on poll results and judging by The Bee's editorial board, will be announced Sunday in the California Forum section. The winner will receive a signed color print of Steve Greenberg's cartoon with the winning caption.

"Et tutu, Brutus?"

– Dale Stout, Colorado Springs, Colo.

"Now when I pirouette on important conservative issues, I am dressed appropriately."

– Ken Shoemake, Cameron Park
