Shepherd, who has been making music since he was a teenager, says on his website that his music has a blues foundation with a contemporary edge. 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'

What: Movies on the Big Screen and Councilman Steve Cohn present a free midnight showing of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" for ages 18 and older. Entertainment starts at 9 p.m. with episodes of the independent sci-fi Western "Stingray Sam," followed by an hour of eclectic movie shorts, cartoons and trailers. The Sizzling Sirens, Sacramento's burlesque group, will make an appearance. Beer and frankfurters will be for sale. Everyone is encouraged to dress up, bring lawn chairs or blankets.

When: 9 p.m. ("Rocky Horror Picture Show" starts at midnight)

What:Singer-songwriter Tish Hinojosa's music crosses borders and genres. As one of 13 children in a Mexican American family in San Antonio, she grew up listening to traditional Mexican music as well as pop and country. Her shows, featuring songs sung in English and Spanish, reflect her life lessons.

What: Anyone up for lumpia? How about Korean tacos? Then head on down to the fifth SactoMoFo mobile food festival. Thirty vendors, including Sacramento favorites and trucks from San Franciso, will sell their best bites. Food on the menu includes miniburgers, grilled-cheese sandwiches, crispy garlic tofu, veggie tacos, garlic noodles and more. The festival expands to include a beer garden, live music and a crafts fair.

When: Noon to 7 p.m.

Where: The farmers market spot under the freeway at Sixth and X streets, Sacramento

Cost: Items vary from truck to truck

Twilight Thursday

What: Catch the summer's last Twilight Thursday concert and car show at the Sacramento Zoo. The final event features classic rock by Sacramento's Q-Balls and a '70s hot rod show. Dinner and drink specials will be available for purchase. And the animals will get to stay up later for the evening's party.

When: 5:30-8 p.m.

Where: Sacramento Zoo, William Land Park, near the corner of Land Park Drive and Sutterville Road in William Land Park, Sacramento.
