The Live Well at Home program -- Eskaton's demonstration project designed to help older adults continue living independently in their own homes -- celebrates its first anniversary with a gathering for its inaugural 50 members on Tuesday at Eskaton Village Carmichael. Program staff and local businesses will also make presentations.
The program links members, who pay a fee of $50 a month for individuals or $75 a month for households, to a list of services, including the Eskaton care management team, transportation services, home support and maintenance suppliers and healthy living education specialists. A concierge with Eskaton coordinates members' needs and interests.
Eskaton plans to expand the program by another several hundred members in the coming year, said senior vice president Sheri Peifer, and include new online options. The program currently serves older adults in Campus Commons, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Arden Park and Orangevale.
