The Washington, D.C.-based Geothermal Energy Association will hold its National Geothermal Summit on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento.
The gathering will include companies and experts from throughout the energy industry, plus numerous public officials.
Summit topics include reducing risks of geothermal exploration and drilling, utility experiences with geothermal power, streamlining planning and permitting and improving incentives for geothermal power.
The summit also includes an awards dinner honoring those who have contributed to the development of the geothermal industry.

• Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
• Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
• Don't flag other users' comments just because you don't agree with their point of view. Please only flag comments that violate these guidelines.
