A website dedicated to the rebuilding of the McKinley Park play structure destroyed by fire last weekend has been set up to offer updates on fundraisers and other related events.

On the newly created site,, residents can track news about fundraising events, donations and ways to help the rebuilding effort.

Visitors to the page can register for email blasts and alerts.

In addition, a meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 6 to discuss the costs of rebuilding and potential plans. That meeting will be in the Grand Hall of the Clunie Community Center in McKinley Park.

More than $15,000 has been raised after the popular pine playground structure was targeted by a suspected arsonist early July 28.

No suspects or arrests have been announced by the Sacramento Fire Department.
