Elliott Fouts Gallery
"40 and Under" brings together the works of seven artists with clearly defined visions who represent the next generation of fine artists, among them Maren Conrad ("Yin & Yang," left). The show is up at Elliott Fouts Gallery, 1831 P St. (916) 736-1429.
Axis Gallery
Axis Gallery's national juried exhibit is a strong show, including work by Jo Sandman, left. This year's the seventh was judged by Apsara Di Quinzio of the Berkeley Art Museum. Axis is at 1517 19th St. (916) 443-9900.
Viewpoint Gallery
Dan Herrera's photographs contain mysterious narratives, at once futuristic and nostalgic. They are on view with Gary Shellcross' photographs of luminous vessels at Viewpoint Gallery, 2015 J St. (916) 441-3241.

Moody etchings by Dan Quillan, mixed-media works by Lynne Klein, left, and evocative artist's books by Dennis Raines make for a strong show at b. sakata garo, 923 20th St. (916) 447-4276.

Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
Don't flag other users' comments just because you don't agree with their point of view. Please only flag comments that violate these guidelines.
