Leading Off: Anthony says Argentina is 'going to bring it'

Things got a little chippy in the United States' 126-97 victory over Argentina on Monday when Carmelo Anthony was hit in the groin while taking a three-point shot late in the game.

After the game, Anthony called it a "cheap shot," and Argentina's Facundo Campazzo made it clear he wasn't going to apologize.

How the teams react to each other will give us something to watch when they go at it again today (12:30 p.m., NBCSN, 1320), with the winner headed to Sunday's gold-medal game, because it should be another blowout for the Americans.

So what's up with Anthony's comments Thursday?

Certainly, we don't want the U.S. players to take Argentina lightly – or talk trash about an opponent – but who's Anthony kidding?

He said Thursday that Argentina is "going to bring it" and called it "one of the biggest games that we've ever played."

Let's hope Anthony's right, so the game will be worth watching.
