Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera was a journeyman outfielder for several major league teams before blossoming in 2011 in Kansas City and exploding into full-blown star with the Giants this season. Now, his ascension is clouded by his 50-game suspension for testing positive for using performance-enhancing drugs. His sidelining not only scours the glow off of his recent achievements, it cuts a big part out of the Giants' lineup and their chances to make the postseason.
