MATCHUP TO WATCH

Raiders defensive end Matt Shaughnessy vs. Chargers left tackle Mike Harris

The undrafted rookie is an injury replacement for the Chargers. It will be up to Shaughnessy to give Harris a rough introduction to the NFL.

THREE KEYS TO GAME

• The Raiders have to run the ball well. The passing game isn't at full strength because of injuries to wide receivers.

• The Chargers have a lot of new faces on defense and expect to be an elite group again. Can they force Carson Palmer into interceptions?

• Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will take chances in the passing game. When he does that, the Raiders have to be ready to force turnovers.

INJURY REPORT

RAIDERS

• Out: WR Jacoby Ford (foot)

• Questionable: G Cooper Carlisle (back), WR Juron Criner (ankle), WR Denarius Moore (hamstring), DT Richard Seymour (knee)

• Probable: TE David Ausberry (shoulder), K Sebastian Janikowski (left groin), TE Brandon Myers (shoulder), G Stefen Wisniewski (calf)

CHARGERS

• Out: T Jared Gaither (back), RB Ryan Mathews (shoulder)

• Questionable: DT Antonio Garay (ankle)
