Wyatt Demps, who already had caught four touchdown passes from Deaundre Terrell, still had enough energy – and lift in his legs – to block a 44-yard field-goal attempt with 10 seconds remaining to seal Pleasant Grove's 29-28 victory over then-No. 2 Nevada Union on Friday night. Demps, a junior two-way returning starter for the No. 3 Eagles, is The Bee's Prep Football Player of the Week, based on voting on sacbee.com. Demps, a wide receiver-defensive back, said he was especially glad he had his helmet in that game. On his final touchdown grab, he held the ball on his helmet for an instant to secure it, and he said he blocked the field goal more with his face mask than his arms.
