Re "A diplomat dies, Romney plays politics" (Editorial, Sept. 13): Mitt Romney was well within his rights to criticize the Obama Administration after the lame explanations coming from Obama and the State Department.
According to senior diplomatic sources, the U.S. State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.
After a Rose Garden appearance and visit to the State Department, Obama went to campaign in Nevada and Colorado with nary a whimper of criticism from his protectors in the media.
Obama's Mideast policy of appeasement has been one of ineptitude and it's sad for the country that the majority of the sycophant press so poorly serves the citizens of the USA by incomplete reporting.

• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
• Don't flag other users' comments just because you don't agree with their point of view. Please only flag comments that violate these guidelines.
