Mercy Medical Group is celebrating the opening of its new Dignity Health Medical Plaza in Elk Grove with a free community health event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The family-oriented event will feature players from the United Football League's Sacramento Mountain Lions, as well as free health screenings and meetings with local physicians.
There also will be live entertainment and tours of the Dignity Health Medical Plaza, which opened in mid-September at 8220 Wymark Drive.
The 65,000-square-foot facility features a comprehensive outpatient surgery center with four operating rooms, physician offices that include primary care and specialty care doctors, and advanced imaging such as ultrasound, CT and MRI.
