MATCHUP TO WATCH

Raiders running back Darren McFadden vs. Broncos linebackers

McFadden has been a nightmare for the Broncos' run defense in their past four meetings, averaging 127 rushing yards a game and 7.3 a carry. Denver is without middle linebacker Joe Mays (suspension), putting the onus on Keith Brooking and Von Miller to prevent McFadden from getting into the secondary, where he can make safeties miss, and watch him in the passing game, where McFadden leads the Raiders with 17 catches. Otherwise, it could be another big day for McFadden.

THREE KEYS TO GAME

• The Raiders' defense knows it'll be a chess match with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. When Manning begins adjusting plays at the line, the Raiders will need to be sharp in knowing and communicating their assignments.

• Miller and Elvis Dumervil form one of the league's more formidable pass-rushing duos. The Raiders have done a good job of protecting quarterback Carson Palmer so far, allowing the fifth-fewest sacks per pass attempt.

• One big factor in the Raiders' first win last Sunday was better field position. Forcing two turnovers and getting two long kick returns contributed to an average start at their own 34-yard line, compared to their 18 and 20 in two losses.
