Folsom Lake College will sponsor a nonpartisan election forum for El Dorado County voters today, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the college's El Dorado Center, 6699 Campus Way, Placerville.
The event, free and open to the public, will feature panel discussions with representatives from the presidential campaigns of President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as well as state Assembly District 5 candidates Frank Bigelow and Rico Oller.
Education and crime experts also will discuss the pros and cons of two tax measures and three crime and prison propositions on the Nov. 6 ballot.
The forum, hosted by the center's political science students and the Student Activities Club, will be in the center's community room, C-102.
Paula Lee of the League of Women Voters will moderate, and audience members may submit questions to speakers.
