Autumn color around the June Lake Loop arrives a bit later than in other areas of the Eastern Sierra. Don't be deceived by the color here at Silver Lake; most of the area is still mostly green. Expect the best fall leaf colors the weekend of Oct 20. This HDR in-camera composite photo was made on October 8, 2012 with a Canon 5D MkIII camera using a Canon 24-105mm zoom set to 24mm.
