Autumn falls around the June Lake Loop, later than other areas in the Eastern Sierra. Don’t be deceived by the color here at Silver Lake, as the entire area is mostly green still. There are pockets of good color but it will be best the weekend of Oct 20. This HDR in-camera composite photo was made on October 8, 2012 with a Canon 5D MkIII camera using a Canon 24-105mm zoom set to 24mm. The exposure range was 1/20 sec. to 3 sec. at f/16 using ISO 1250.
