Elk Grove city officials have scheduled a public meeting Monday at City Hall to solicit suggestions for changes to the the city's e-tran and e-van transit services.

The drop-in open house is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. in council chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way. The Sacramento Area Council of Governments is assisting the city in putting together a formal short-range transit plan.

The city is likely to alter routes after Sacramento Regional Transit extends its downtown light-rail system to Cosumnes River College in the next few years. Construction has begun on that project.

People who cannot attend the meeting can comment via phone and email, at (916) 340-6275 and transit_needs@sacog.org

Residents can also mail comments to: SACOG, Unmet Transit Needs, 1415 L St., Suite 300, Sacramento, CA 95814
