Kid-friendly Haunted House tour

What: The Davis Musical Theatre Company will host a family-friendly version of its guided haunted house tour. Only friendly ghosts will come out to this special showing aimed at the faint-of-heart and youngsters.

'Handcrafted: Amy Seiwert/Protégés'

What: Inside the Director's Studio gives ballet lovers a behind-the- scenes look at the making of dance. Choreographer Amy Seiwert will start creating her new work for the "Modern Masters/Protégés" program. Audience members are encouraged to ask questions.

When: 6 p.m.

The Hobart Brothers & Li'l Sis Hobart

What: The Hobarts are Freedy Johnston, John Dee Graham and Susan Cowsill. These three artists have collaborated to release their debut album "At Least We Have Each Other." Johnston has been recording for more than 20 years, with hits including "Bad Reputation." Graham, from Austin, Texas, started with the Skunks and True Believers before launching his solo career. Pop singer Cowsill is best-known as the little sister in the Cowsills, the 1960s group that inspired the "The Partridge Family" TV series. They blend their diverse musical backgrounds into one uniformly appealing bluesy sound.

'The Kitchen Witches'

What: Ovation Stage presents the deliciously funny "The Kitchen Witches" by Canadian playwright Caroline Smith. The play stars Deborah Shalhoub and Michele Koehler as two cable-access cooking show hosts who have hated each other for years. The laughs start coming when circumstances force the pair to star in a TV cooking show, "The Kitchen Witches," which becomes a hit.

When: 8 p.m. today and Saturday; and 2 p.m. Sunday. Through Nov. 18.

'Around the World in 90 Minutes'

What: The Sacramento Symphonic Winds, led by music director Les Lehr, takes the audience on a musical journey around the globe. The program will include Michael Glinka's "Russian and Ludmilla Overture," Igor Stravinsky's "The Firebird" and three movements from Thurman O. Douglass' "Wyoming." Keith Bohm, alto saxophone, is the featured soloist.

When: 2:30 p.m.
