• CENTRAL PARK GARDENS OPEN HOUSE AND PLANT SALE

Where: B Street between Third and Fourth streets, Davis

Celebrating the volunteer efforts of Davis' Central Park Gardens, this open house features four demonstration gardens, master gardeners with water-saving and pest-fighting tips, and a plant sale with fall vegetables, annuals and perennials. Kids can take part in seed planting, a garden hunt and games.


• 65TH ANNUAL SACRAMENTO CHRYSANTHEMUM SOCIETY SHOW AND SALE

Where: Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sacramento
