What: Three Sacramento-area artists, including former Bee features designer Susan Ballenger, will debut a collection of "yummy delights" (their description) for an art exhibition titled "Just Desserts" at the Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom. The exhibit, which opens Friday and runs through Jan. 10, will feature Ballenger's acrylic paintings and watercolors, including "Case of Cakes" and "Disappearing Chocolates," shown above and below right. The two other artists whose work will be in the exhibit include Kit Night (oil paintings) and Jeff Nebeker (ceramics).
When: Opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The gallery then resumes normal hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday; 6-8 p.m. Thursday. The gallery also offers a coffee break tour at 10 a.m. the last Thursday of each month. Closed holidays.
