MATCHUP TO WATCH

Raiders defense vs. Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman

Tampa Bay's offense opened some eyes on national TV on Oct. 25, when the Buccaneers passed and ran all over the Minnesota Vikings' defense in a 36-17 victory. Let's not forget that this is the same Vikings defense that frustrated the 49ers in Week 3. Freeman passed for 262 yards and three touchdowns. Freeman has been the type of passer who gains confidence throughout the game when he's on target. When harassed, he's erratic. The Raiders' front line and linebackers should do all they can to make sure Freeman doesn't feel comfortable in the pocket.

THREE KEYS TO GAME

• After spending seven years in San Diego, Vincent Jackson is a familiar face for the Raiders' secondary. As he was for the Chargers' Philip Rivers, Jackson is a big target downfield for Freeman. If the Raiders can lock down Jackson, that will eliminate one weapon at Freeman's disposal.

• The Raiders will need to establish their running game early – and keep it working – behind Darren McFadden. Against the Vikings, the Buccaneers' defense gave up 123 yards to Adrian Peterson, who averaged 8.2 yards per carry and scored on a 64-yard run.

• The Raiders dominated the line of scrimmage last Sunday in Kansas City, mainly because veteran defensive tackle Richard Seymour manhandled Chiefs guard Jeff Allen. Today, Seymour lines up across from reserve guard Ted Larsen, who is replacing starter Carl Nicks. Seymour will own Larsen if he doesn't get double-teamed. If he does, that will leave an opportunity for somebody else on the line.
