Downtown Ford will host a Nov. 15 event to raise funds to rebuild playground equipment destroyed in a July arson fire at Sacramento's McKinley Park.
The "Go Further with Ford Night" will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at 525 N. 16th St.
The event is part of Random Acts of Fusion, the transmedia program hosted by "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest. Various prizes and activities will accompany the event in Sacramento. Refreshments also will be served on-site.
For each person who attends the event, Ford Motor Co. and Downtown Ford will each donate $10 to the effort to rebuild the McKinley Park playground.
People age 18 and older interested in participating in "Go Further with Ford Night" can register at www.randomactsoffusion.com and be entered for a chance to win tickets to a live taping of "American Idol." Additionally, on-site registrants on Nov. 15 will be entered into a prize drawing to win a 2013 Ford Fusion.
