Kings rookie forward Thomas Robinson has been suspended by the NBA for two games following his Flagrant Foul Two and ejection in Sacramento's 105-103 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena.

Robinson was ejected by game officials in the fourth quarter after throwing an elbow to the head of Jonas Jerebko. NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson said the suspension is without pay, and that Robinson will miss the next two games, Friday at home against San Antonio, and Sunday at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Robinson will be docked $82,308 for the two games missed. He scored two points and grabbed seven rebounds Wednesday night before his ejection. He's averaging 4.4 points in 13.6 minutes in his first five NBA games out of Kansas.

Thursday afternoon at the Kings' practice facility, Robinson apologized for his actions.

"I've got to be smarter in my decisions. It was a bad decision, a bad choice I made," Robinson said. "I made it already, I can't change it. If I could I would but it's something I have to live with and move on from here."

Robinson will be eligible to return to the Kings on Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers at Sleep Train Arena.
