For the past two years, Cynthia Robertson, a single mother of five, has visited the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services clothing program to outfit her kids for special events.
After each event, Robertson donates the outfits so other children can benefit.
Recently, Robertson was looking for two dresses for an important occasion.
Her 14-year-old daughter, Tammy, who is a leukemia patient in remission, wanted to attend the luau-themed Survivor's Ball in honor of a friend who passed away from leukemia.
Her sister Rebecca would be her date. They found all they needed at the food bank.
