The agent for Kings center DeMarcus Cousins says his client will not play in tonight's game against the Portland Trail Blazers at Sleep Train Arena, meaning the appeal to shorten his two-game suspension to one game has been denied.
Cousins also missed Sunday night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers after being suspended by the NBA earlier in the day for confronting San Antonio Spurs announcer Sean Elliott in a "hostile manner" after a game last Friday.
The suspension cost Cousins $94,653 in salary. The third-year center, who has yet to address the media about the incident, will be eligible to return to the Kings when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
