What: The Sacramento Theatre Company kicks off its Broadway Cabaret Series with "A Salute to Lerner & Loewe." Well-known songs from "My Fair Lady," "Camelot," "Gigi," "Brigadoon" will be performed along with lesser-known songs from "What's Up," "The Day Before Spring," and "The Little Prince." Featured performers are Bob Cooner, Jessica Futrell, Andrew J. Perez, Madeleine Wieland and Sydney Christofferson. The singers will be accompanied by piano and viola.

'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'
What: It's your last weekend to catch this murderous musical centered on a revenge-seeking barber and his pie-making accomplice. Flying Monkey Productions presents this Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim musical based on a play by Christopher Bond.

What: Top banjo musicians Bill Keith, Bill Evans and Alan Munde will team up in this super-group trio. Each of these artists has had a major influence in the bluegrass scene for many years. In this one show, they pool their talents.

Behind the Magic: The Nutcracker, a Dancers' Perspective
What: The "Inside the Director" series continues with a behind-the-scenes look at the beloved classic "The Nutcracker." Sacramento Ballet dancers will tell how they keep Sacramento's annual holiday show fresh. They will also demonstrate a send-up version of the famous Snowflake Forest scene with "California Snow."

Author David Sedaris
What: NPR humorist and best-selling author David Sedaris will give a reading. The reading, presented by the Center for the Arts, will be followed by a question-and- answer session and book signings. Sedaris' works include "Barrel Fever," "Holidays on Ice," "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" and "When You Are Engulfed in Flames." His books have been translated into 25 lamguages and he's sold 7 million copies worldwide.
