Another storm is set to roll into Sacramento this evening, bringing rain and colder temperatures to the area.
The first storm, which began yesterday morning, has already brought a third of an inch of rain, according to Drew Peterson, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. Temperatures should remain in the mid-60s throughout the week, with nightly lows dipping into the 50s and 40s.
"We could see another half of an inch of rain through the weekend," Peterson said.
Snow levels are expected to drop from 7,000 feet to 5,000 feet, which will affect travelers in the Sierras. The weather service expects between 6 to 14 inches of snowfall above 6,000 feet by the end of Sunday.
A third storm is expected to arrive in the region late Tuesday, but will leave by Wednesday night, making Thursday's Thanksgiving Day relatively dry.
