Butterball Turkey. The turkey company this year moved into social media, launching a $5 mobile app (Butterball Cookbook Plus, $4.99) that can handle just about any question you come up with.
But the Turkey Talk-Line isn't dead: (800) 288-8372 (BUTTERBALL) is up and running. Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST weekdays through today and 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. PST Thanksgiving Day; December hours are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST (to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve). Martha Stewart. The homemaking maven has a great website, http://www.marthastewart.com/thanksgiving, with many recipes as well as decor tips and ideas for leftovers.
Crisco Pie Hotline. Get help for your crumbly crust or soupy filling. (877) 367-7438. 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday PST normally, but through today it's available 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST, and 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST Dec. 12-21. Also check out www.crisco.com for recipes and tips.

The USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline. If the FAQs on the website www. foodsafety.gov don't answer your cooking questions, call the food safety specialists at (888)674-6854, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST weekdays, or until 11 a.m. PST on Thanksgiving. Or submit a question any time of day at www.askKaren.gov.
