Re "Where falling rockets are routine" (Page A1, Nov. 20): The article presents the conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis as if it were an equal contest, with both sides suffering. Yet even the blind can see there is no contest at all.
The militarized Jewish state easily kills many more people than do its victims, the occupied, stateless Palestinians. Propaganda claims that Israel wants peace, but it's the bogus peace a home invader might offer the bound and gagged inhabitants in order to legitimize occupation and murders. The Palestinians are fighting for their human dignity and their lives. The thuggish state cannot be defended, either physically or morally. It needs to be democratized. So does its plutocratic, imperial, security state sponsor, the United States.

• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
• Don't flag other users' comments just because you don't agree with their point of view. Please only flag comments that violate these guidelines.
