Re "City right to wait on big housing plan" (Editorials, Nov. 23): Perhaps we need to follow the money. Who will make a lot of money on Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency's proposal?
The "issues" with these homes apply to many of the old homes in Land Park, Curtis Park, Boulevard Park, Midtown, etc. Residential owners don't just tear down their homes and rebuild. Why doesn't SHRA upgrade the electricity, water pipes and sewer lines, and put some money into landscaping. They are lovely brick units that could be more attractive with more shrubs and flowers.
These are people's homes, possibly with historic value. This appears a thinly veiled way to get rid of the poor. The idea of integrating them into other neighborhoods is a joke. It's just a way of giving some developer a windfall on the backs of the people who live in these homes.

• Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
• Don't flag other users' comments just because you don't agree with their point of view. Please only flag comments that violate these guidelines.

You also may notify us via email at feedback@sacbee.com. Note the headline on which the comment is made and tell us the profile name of the user who made the comment. Remember, comment moderation is subjective. You may find some material objectionable that we won't and vice versa.
