A Black Friday fight at the Westfield Galleria in Roseville resulted in the arrest of four people suspected of taking revenge on one of the combatants by trashing his family's car.
Roseville police said that two groups who knew each other got into a fight Friday morning at the mall. Two males began bumping into each other and trading insults, with some of the comments gang-related.
The fight eventually erupted when the insults moved to the second floor of the mall in front of a shoe store. Police were notified of the fight at 12:23 a.m. and by the time officers got to the area of the ruckus, all fighters had dispersed.
Not knowing who was involved, no arrests were made.
However, at 5 a.m. Friday, police received a call from a teen in Roseville who said a car belonging to his family had been vandalized. The car was heavily dented and the windows, headlights and taillights broken.
Police then learned that the teen was one of the people involved in the mall fight. Police believe the car was vandalized by people the teen and others had fought.
On Saturday morning, police went to Citrus Heights and arrested Roberto Ivan Volz, 21, of Citrus Heights; Sandy Orellana, 18, of Citrus Heights; a 16-year-old boy from Citrus Heights; and a 17-year-old-boy from Turlock.
Police said they were booked on suspicion of vandalism, conspiracy and gang charges.
