When it comes to sharing holiday spirit (especially with friends or loved ones far away), it's in the cards.
Filled with warm thoughts on winter days, these annual missives carry our holiday hopes and wishes. But they also form tangible links that can last for years.
Here's your chance to share your favorite Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa card story. In 100 words or less, tell us about a holiday card that still brings back memories or holds special meaning. It can be a card you made, sent or received. Or tell us about your family's card tradition, such as making them by hand or posing for photos.
As our holiday greeting to readers, we'll share several excerpts in our Dec. 22 Home & Garden section.
Email your card story to email@example.com. Please put "Card Stories" in the subject line and include your name, hometown and daytime phone number where you can be reached. If possible, attach a photo of your special card, too.
Or mail your card story to: Card Stories, Home & Garden, Sacramento Bee, P.O. Box 15779, Sacramento, CA 95852. (Please don't send original cards; they can't be returned.)
Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Dec. 10.
