Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for today, but Friday and the weekend carry the promise of late-Autumn sun.
Just one more day of mostly cloudy conditions is forecast for the Sacramento region before northerly winds help dissipate the clouds on Friday, the National Weather Service reports.
While Saturday will be pleasantly sunny, there will be breezes blowing. Gusts could hit 20 mph in Sacramento.
The detailed, 7-day forecast for the Sacramento region from the NWS:
Today: A chance of drizzle before 10am. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. North northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 50. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 59. Northwest wind around 7 mph.
Friday night: Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 43. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 62. North northwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 62.
Sunday night: Clear, with a low around 42.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 63.
Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.
Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
