Behind the lens: I took this from a boat on Kunming Lake approaching Longevity Hillin Beijing. The Tower of the Fragrance of the Buddha is a three-story octagonal building with four tiers of eaves. The palace was built by Emperor Qianlong in 1750 to celebrate his mother's birthday.
