Re "In heartland of unionism, right-to-work laws on way" (Page A1, Dec. 11): President Obama said, "What they're really talking about is giving you the right to work for less money."
Any fool can see that I might find it economically advantageous to have a job. Any fool can see that it might be an economic advantage to hire Billy for less than Suzy, if they both provide the same labor.
Would you hire the union gardener who wants $15 an hour instead of the immigrant gardener who wants $12? In short, the president does want to take away your freedom to choose. Where have I heard that "freedom to choose" line before?
