Holiday donations needed

Here are some area businesses and nonprofit groups seeking donations for the holidays:

Toys for the Troops Inc. holds a gift and toy drive benefiting families of deployed military members from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Sunday at Fountains of Roseville, Galleria Boulevard and Roseville Parkway, and Citrus Town Center, Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard. Sponsored by Peter P. Bollinger Investment Co. and Inter-Cal Real Estate Corp.

Green Acres Nursery & Supply holds a toy drive benefiting Never Forget our Fallen Toy Drive for Military Children. Donate new, unwrapped toys through Sunday to any Green Acres Nursery & Supply, 901 Galleria Blvd., Roseville; 8501 Jackson Road, Sacramento; and 205 Serpa Way, Folsom.

Green Acres Nursery & Supply is donating Christmas trees to families of deployed military members at its three locations: 901 Galleria Blvd., Roseville; 8501 Jackson Road, Sacramento; and 205 Serpa Way, Folsom. An immediate family of a deployed military member must bring deployment papers and military ID to receive a complimentary Noble fir and two 4-inch poinsettias or one 6-inch poinsettia.

• Help combat hunger through Raley's Food for Families campaign. Donate at any Raley's, Bel Air or Food Source store through Dec. 31.

Dollar Tree and Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit organization that provides emergency assistance to military families, holds a toy drive for their children. Donate new, unwrapped toys at any Dollar Tree store.

• Donations for gently used blankets, coats, sweaters, jeans, tarps and small tents are needed for the homeless. Items may be dropped off from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 2131 K St.

Operation Christmas for Our Troops toy drive is seeking new, unwrapped toys for military troops and families through Sunday at The Cheesecake Factory parking lot, 1901 Arden Way, Sacramento.

The Niello Co. is holding a drive for non-perishable food items through Sunday at any of its 12 dealerships or collision center locations throughout the region.

• Donate shoes and socks to a shoe drive through Dec. 31 at Socals Tavern, 5200 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento; Club Raven, 3246 J St.; Allstate Insurance, 4765 J St., Sacramento; St. Philomene Church, 2428 Bell St., Sacramento; Brownies Lounge, 5858 S. Land Park Drive, Sacramento; The Pocket Club, 5043 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento; and the XO Lounge, 1400 Broadway, Sacramento. Benefits Loaves & Fishes, Union Gospel Mission and St. John's Shelter for Women and Children.

Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center is looking for nonperishable food items, new unwrapped toys for children 15 and younger, wrapping paper, gift cards and cash donations for its annual Christmas Basket Giving Program. Donations may be made at 450 W. El Camino Ave., Sacramento.

Best Friends Pet Care holds its 12th annual Angel Tree Campaign, benefiting needy pets at Bradshaw SPCA, Titanic's Pantry and Chows Plus Rescue, through Dec. 31 at its office at 3633 Garfield Ave., Sacramento.
