Sacramento police arrested a 28-year-old man Friday night after he allegedly tried to punch officers.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Arden Way after reports of a man causing a disturbance. When they tried to talk to the man, later identified as Justin Brinsky, he took several swings at the officers, missing them, said police spokesman Officer Doug Morse.
One officer who put his arms up to protect himself was hit in the arm but was not injured, Morse said.
Officers eventually were able to take Brinsky into custody with the help of an officer from an outside agency, Morse said. Brinsky was booked on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and violating the terms of his probation.
