Sacramento Police have arrested a 42-year-old man for investigation of assaulting and robbing a man who was walking home Saturday afternoon in the 3300 block of 33rd Street in Oak Park.
The victim, who told police he believed he knew the suspect and that he lived in the area, was taken to a local hospital after the assault with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers arrested Calvin Anthony Barron, who was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail early today for investigation of robbery, battery and assault with a deadly weapon, all considered felonies.
Barron was held without bail on a parole violation, according to the department's online booking information.
Police said cash, money orders and a cell phone were taken in the robbery.
