New York-based Crunch Fitness, a membership gym chain that includes franchised operations, is preparing to open a new site in Elk Grove.
The outlet at 9661 E. Stockton Blvd., will be the third in the area, joining Crunch gyms at 1250 Howe Ave., in Sacramento and 6680 Lonetree Blvd., in Rocklin.
Officials said they expect the Elk Grove outlet to be fully operational by April.
Crunch Elk Grove will comprise 17,000 square feet and feature a full range of new exercise equipment. Various fitness and training programs will be offered on-site.
Mark Polli is the franchisee for all three area outlets.
An enrollment/fitness center currently is open at 9667 E. Stockton Blvd., where membership enrollments for the new Elk Grove gym can be set up.
