Bagful of bargains
What: For $6, media lovers can get all the "gently used" books, videos, records and books-on-cassettes they can stuff in a grocery bag at the warehouse clearance sale of the Friends of the Sacramento Public Library. Bags will be available at the warehouse. Children's picture books will be excluded from the sale. Sale proceeds help fund library programs, equipment and materials.

What: The National Danish Performance Team will show off its skills at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. The group's show, "Zoom," combines modern rhythmic gymnastics, dance, cheer, artistic vaulting, tumbling and acrobatics.

Travel through time
What: Lecturer and author Melinda Kashuba will speak on "Genealogy: American Migration Trails in the Western United States" at the Sacramento Public Library's Central Branch. The event will show how tracing ancestors from the West Coast back across the Mississippi River can be challenging. Kashuba will suggest some of the reasons why they moved, how they traveled, which routes existed and where they may have relocated. Registration is required to attend.
