Keep your jackets on, Sacramento. Cold weather is here to stay.
The National Weather Service is forecasting widespread frost the next two mornings, predicting low temperatures of about 28 degrees today and 31 degrees for Monday.
"It's going to be rather chilly," said Drew Peterson, a Weather Service forecaster in Sacramento. "People should definitely make sure their animals are inside during these cold nights."
Peterson said the region will remain clear of any storms for the next several days.
Highs for Sacramento should be about 52 degrees the next two days.
