Re "Levee aid could be a casualty" (Dan Walters, Jan. 14): I have to laugh when conservative Dan Walters says with Dan Lungren no longer in Congress that leaves "the region without a GOP" voice in the House.
What about his good buddy, Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Elk Grove? Walters probably assumes that McClintock would never vote to spend money to help Sacramento. However, he is still a GOP voice for the region.
Walters should write a column urging McClintock to step up and do the right thing for the region, even if that means spending some money.
