A Dutch Bros. Coffee drive-through stand in Auburn will donate all of its Friday proceeds to help pay the medical expenses of longtime customer Tami Cooke.
Cooke, a mother of five, has been battling cancer in her lungs and a kidney since an initial diagnosis in May 2011.
The Dutch Bros. stand at 3995 Grass Valley Highway will be open Friday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Besides sales proceeds earmarked for Cooke's care, the Auburn stand will accept additional customer donations on-site.
"Tami's a very strong woman and an encouragement to us all," said Dutch Bros. stand owner-operator Jeremy Mauel. "She's been a regular for three years now, and all of us have made a real connection with her."
