A Sacramento County jury has convicted a 22-year-old parolee of multiple charges, including attempted murder, attempted robbery and use of a gun.
On June 16, 2011, Lawrence Jackio and an accomplice broke into an occupied residence and attempted to rob two homeowners at gunpoint, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney's Office news release.
One victim was pistol-whipped, and Jackio shot the other in the abdomen, causing serious injuries.
At the time, Jackio was on parole for a residential burglary conviction.
He is to be sentenced March 1 by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Michael Savage.
