SANTA CLARA – Wide receiver Michael Crabtree was interviewed by police in connection with an alleged sexual assault that occurred early Sunday morning in San Francisco, according to a statement Friday by the San Francisco Police Department.

The alleged assault took place in a city hotel room after the 49ers' divisional playoff win over the Green Bay Packers. Crabtree had 119 receiving yards in that game and scored two touchdowns.

The statement said Crabtree was interviewed with his attorney present and has cooperated with the investigation. The receiver hasn't been detained or arrested, and he agreed to be available for further questions in the future.

The 49ers on Friday released a statement from general manager Trent Baalke.

"We are aware of the allegation against Michael and understand that he has fully cooperated with authorities," Baalke said. "The 49ers take such matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time as the legal process is ongoing."

The 49ers flew to Atlanta, where they will play the Falcons in the NFC Championship Game, earlier Friday afternoon. Crabtree is in Atlanta and is expected to play Sunday.

Harbaugh wants Moss back – One more year? That'll be coach Jim Harbaugh's pitch to wide receiver Randy Moss, whose one-year contract with the team is set to run out in March.

"I, for one, definitely want Randy to come back," Harbaugh said Friday before the team left for Atlanta. "Hope he feels the same way."

Moss said he hasn't decided yet on another year.

"We'll know once the season's over, bro," he said at his locker.

The 35-year-old wideout began the season as part of a receiver rotation that included Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams. Knee injuries, however, knocked Williams and Manningham out for the season, and Moss has had an increasingly larger role as the wideout opposite Crabtree.

Moss finished the regular season with 28 catches, 434 yards and averaged 15.5 yards a reception, second only to tight end Delanie Walker's 16.4-yard average.

He had two catches for 25 yards against the Packers last Saturday.

Cundiff cut – The 49ers' waived kicker Billy Cundiff, who was brought in 17 days ago to compete against struggling David Akers. It was the third time Cundiff had been cut by a team this season.

Et cetera – Safety Dashon Goldson was fined $10,000 for a late hit against the Packers. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick, however, was not fined for his taunting penalty.

• The 49ers listed 14 players on their injury report, with all of them probable to play against the Falcons. The group includes 10 starters: G Alex Boone (knee), LB NaVorro Bowman (shoulder), CB Tarell Brown (shoulder), Goldson (shin), RB Frank Gore (knee), G Mike Iupati (shoulder), RB Bruce Miller (shoulder), LB Aldon Smith (shoulder), DT Justin Smith (elbow, triceps) and LB Patrick Willis (shoulder).

• The Falcons' injury list includes DE John Abraham (ankle) and DT Jonathan Babineaux (shoulder) as questionable; S William Moore (hand), LB Stephen Nicholas (foot) and CB Christopher Owens (hamstring) are probable.
