Re "Youths could 'preregister' to vote at 15 under bill" (The Buzz, Jan. 18): The Democrats have come up with another way to harvest voters for future elections. How shameful for a political party to manufacture an ability to stay in power under the guise of linking voter preregistration to a positive experience of getting a learner's permit at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Everyone knows that the majority of young people are already liberal. It is very hard to find a 15-year-old conservative, and the very young are extremely susceptible to having their minds molded into whatever they are told. What better place to mold young minds than with voter preregistration.
Perhaps we can go one step further in this indoctrination and have the parents declare what party they think they might like their child to be a part of when they register for school, sort of a pre-preregistration.
