Re "Lies continue on Benghazi" (Letters, Jan. 25): The loss of American lives in Benghazi was unfortunate. Could it have been prevented? Maybe. Should we pursue the truth of why this incident occurred and how it was handled? Yes.
But our outrage cannot stop here.
How about the trillions of dollars, and thousands of American lives, that were wasted in the latest Iraq war? The allegations of the public being purposely misled into this war should be investigated just as thoroughly, and the perpetrators brought to justice.
If we are willing to crucify Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for Benghazi, we should be just as motivated to bring the administration of President George W. Bush to task for its actions in Iraq. The scale of American lives lost in Iraq vs. Benghazi should be sufficient to justify this investigation.
