Re "Water tunnels challenged" (Page A1, Jan. 26): There is a much better way. In 2007, I sailed to the Maldives, where there isn't any water source for the population other than a reverse osmosis water system. That system works great!
Driving down Highway 5, parts of central California does look like a dust bowl. You will see signs from farmers, begging to turn the water back on. In 12 years, the population of southern California is supposed to double. How many tunnels then?
