Re "Thousands march against abortion" (Nation in brief, Jan. 26): I, along with my wife, our seven children and grandson joined with 50,000 others in a peaceful demonstration on the steps of San Francisco's City Hall, then walked the length of Market street to the Embarcadero. Any event of that size, in one of the largest cities in our nation, is worthy of coverage. However, since the cause of this gathering was to promote life and call for an end to legalized abortion, it warranted not a word in The Bee. Happily, the Bee's sister paper in Modesto carried the story. Freedom of information and choice? I think those rights are supported in The Bee only where they align with the views of the editorial board.
