The Sacramento County Office of Education needs volunteers to help at the Sacramento County Academic Decathlon Feb. 2 at Inderkum High School in Natomas.
The top scholars from 21 area high schools will participate in the contest.
The theme: Russia.
The Academic Decathlon includes tests in art, music, language and literature, mathematics, economics, science and social science. In addition, communication tests include the writing of an essay, the delivery of a prepared speech and an impromptu speech and an interview, according to the county Office of Education.
Volunteers are needed to be test proctors, guides and interview judges.
